My research interests focus on the relationship between manufacturing processes, mechanical properties, chemical composition, microstructure and plasticity of metals. Using a broad range of characterization tools such as SEM/EDX/EBSD and TEM/EDS/In situ, with appropriated specimen preparation (EDM, mechanical/electro-polishing, ion milling, chemical etching), I investigate material responses during processing (powder metallurgy, casting, forging, extrusion, hot rolling, laser machining) and mechanical deformation at room and high temperatures, under quasi-static to high strain rates.
